Hey y’all! My name is Michelle and I’m a modern calligrapher, digital watercolor artist and the owner of Blue Skies Lettering. I have always had a love for stationary, beginning in 2nd grade when I got a full set of Lisa Frank gear for Christmas. Throughout the years, I doodled my way through school (the only way I could pay attention to what the teacher was saying) and often experimented with different ways to write my letters to achieve a different style. Fast forward many years, enter a global pandemic, and I found my passion with calligraphy! Calligraphy, and the crazy love I have for the craft, has completely changed my life! I am a pediatric nurse practitioner by training and worked for many years in that field. However, being unable to continue in that line of work due to COVID complications (all better now, thankfully), I was able to devote more time to calligraphy and the love just grew! I love to play a special part in my clients’ lives by creating beauty with words– whether this be through penning a special quote, working with a brand or small business, on-site personalization events or creating stationary designs.
