Have you ever seen a calligram, one of those pictures ‘drawn’ with words and asked yourself how these are done? In this class, I will teach you how to write a calligram two ways. Outlined calligrams create a delicate look whereas filled calligrams are more expressive. You will learn the techniques required for both types starting with an easy form. From there, you will learn how to write calligrams that are more intricate. By the end of this class, you’ll be able to apply the basic techniques and develop your very own calligrams.
